About Pork Roll Finder
A free, crowd-sourced map of where to find New Jersey's breakfast meat, built for the people who can't easily get it anymore.
Pork Roll Finder answers one stubborn question: where can I actually get a pork roll, egg and cheese right now? The map shows two kinds of places. The diners, delis, and bagel shops that serve it hot, and the grocers and butchers that sell the packaged product so you can fry it at home. It covers all of New Jersey and, increasingly, the rest of the country.
Who it’s for
Mostly the diaspora. There are a lot of people who grew up on this stuff, moved somewhere that has never heard of it, and quietly miss it. If that is you, this is built for you. It is also for in-state purists settling the eternal argument about whose local diner does it best.
How the map stays accurate
Every spot is either researched from a real source or submitted by a person who has been there. When you add a spot, you search for the actual business in Google’s listings and pick it, so we capture the real name, address, and location rather than a guess. Anonymous submissions go into a moderation queue and are reviewed by a human before they appear, which keeps spam and mistakes off the map.
Places change. Diners close, stores stop carrying it. Anyone can tap “confirm” on a spot to vouch that it is still good, and you can flag one that is wrong. The map gets better every time someone uses it.
Taylor ham or pork roll?
We do not pick a side. The same map runs under two names: this one, and taylorhamfinder.com for the other half of the state. Same spots, same data. If you want the backstory on the feud, read the great debate. New to cooking it? Here is how to cook it and where to buy it.
The site is free and supported by ads. Questions, corrections, or a spot we should know about? Add it on the map and it will reach us.
